The Lincolnwood School PTA welcomes all new families and caregivers, and those returning from last year, to our 2025-2026 school year! The PTA is a group of volunteers that work with teachers, staff, and families to make every Lincolnwood student feel enriched and supported.

To show our staff and educators how much we appreciate them, we would like to provide a breakfast spread on the planned Institute Day of Friday, August 22, 2025.  We are looking for donations for the spread.  Please follow this sign-up genius link if you are able to contribute! 

Join us after drop off on the first day of school (Monday, August 25, 2025) to catch up with old friends, meet new families and get to know a little bit more about the PTA.  We will either be set up on the blacktop or front lawn - you won't be able to miss us! School Administrators will also be on hand to mix and mingle. 

Let's start this new school year off right with the Lincolnwood Back to School Block Party! Join us on Wednesday, August 27 for a family-friendly event on the Lincolnwood grounds from 5:00-7:00pm.  Bring a picnic, a blanket and chairs and kick back with friends and family. This is a great way to reconnect with old friends and meet new people in our community. Refreshments (PIZZA!) will be served courtesy of the PTA. An ice cream truck will be making an appearance with frozen treats to purchase!

Superstar Socials are a great way to get to know the Lincolnwood community—and whether you're looking for something kid-oriented, family-friendly, or grownups-only, we have you covered! Check out all that's on offer and join in the fun. (All events have suggested donations only. If you would like to sign up without donating, please use code "SOCIAL" at checkout.)

Please check out this special message from Lincolnwood Interventionist, Ms. Kari Kohler for ways to get involved with planning upcoming Lincolnwood Community Days!

As we look forward to the 2025-2026 school year, we are excited to continue Community Days at Lincolnwood.  We have several objectives associated with Community Days. Some of these goals include building community across grade levels and buddy classes, reinforcing our social-emotional learning objectives, providing release time for classroom educators to collaborate, and designing hands-on activities with movement that reinforce our educational goals. 

We have three Community Days planned for this school year (10/17, 1/16, 3/20). Additionally, our Fine Arts team plans to participate in Community Days this year.  This will allow us to have a longer block of time (75 minutes) with two grade levels.  Here is the draft schedule for Community Day. We have paired together buddy classrooms.

If you are interested in joining the planning team for the upcoming school year, we’d love to collaborate with you. We will be meeting on August 28 from 9:15 to 9:45 am via Google Meet.

We will continue to meet monthly to plan for each event.  Additionally, if you are not interested in planning the event but would like to volunteer for an hour or so, we’d love to have you! Sign up here to volunteer.

Dear STEP Families,

We hope everyone is having a wonderful summer!  There is an end-of- summer meetup at the Evanston Public Library so kids and families in the STEP program can connect and catch up before school starts.  

There will be a special story time, crafts and snacks for our group, and you can catch up with other District 65 STEP families! The event is organized by Lincoln STEP parent, Svet Korzeniowski (mom to Christian).

When: Wednesday, August 20th, 3:30-6pm (join any time within)

Where: Evanston Public Library (1703 Orrington Ave)

Interested in learning more about Screen Sense Evanston? Join us at this community event at Lincolnwood on September 30, 2025. 

Registration is open for Lincolnwood 4th & 5th grade Cross Country and 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade Flag Football through the Evanston Park District. See flyers below and https://www.cityofevanston.org/residents/parks-rec for registration info. Registration closes Sept. 4th!
